Predicted Germany XI vs the Netherlands: Julian Nagelsmann to make minimal changes

Julian Nagelsmann could name the same Germany XI that started in their 2-0 win against France when they host the Netherlands on Tuesday evening.

After Manuel Neuer’s withdrawal due to injury, Marc-André ter Stegen should again keep his place in goal with Nagelsmann naming the same defence that kept a clean sheet against France on Saturday night. Joshua Kimmich at right-back allows Robert Andrich to partner Toni Kroos in a double pivot with Ilkay Gündogan operating a little higher.

It took Florian Wirtz just seven seconds to open the scoring against France and if Nagelsmann can find a way to get the Bayer Leverkusen player and Jamal Musiala in the same team, Germany could be a force to be reckoned with going forward at Euro 2024. Kai Havertz was also rewarded with a start against France and he continued his excelling scoring form with a goal just after the break on Saturday.

Should Nagelsmann want to make any changes to the team that beat France, expect them to be minimal. David Raum may come in for Maximilian Mittelstädt while Niclas Füllkrug and Deniz Undav remain striking options.

Marc-André ter Stegen – Joshua Kimmich, Antonio Rüdiger, Jonathan Tah, Maximilian Mittelstädt – Robert Andrich, Toni Kroos, Ilkay Gündogan – Jamal Musiala, Florian Wirtz – Kai Havertz.
